1. A Tribute to the book by Rachel Carson

The Edge of the Sea

In 1955 Rachel Carson wrote a book entitled "the Edge of the Sea". In it she talks about the marginal world describing the edge of the sea as "a strange and beautiful place." She goes on the say that "for no two successive days is the shore line precisely the same." For a Cape Cod photographer this fact provides endless opportunities to record the changes that take place to the shore line whether caused by the constant movement of the tides or the never ending wind. This gallery is meant to capture the beauty of the edge of the sea.
