Rose Island Light

Rose Island is in Newport, R.I. The Rose Island Foundation which owns the island says it this way "A mile offshore and a century in the past lies "The Little Lighthouse that Could." The foundation's web site is really good as it explains the history of this wonderful place and offers overnights at the Keeper's house. http://www.roseislandlighthouse.org/learn_about.html) We recently spent a night there and it is a wonderful experience for those that want to just get away for a quiet time.
